China partners ACJU to support 700 Grade 10 students

The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, in collaboration with the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU), hosted a ceremony this week at the Al Hidaya Auditorium and started a supporting plan to provide necessary booster classes for more than 700 Grade-10 students who are sitting for their exam in December 2020. 

These pupils are from 19 different schools across Colombo with different background, and all from poverty-stricken families, lack of resources and unhealthy environment. During the ceremony, Chargé d’affaires of the Chinese Embassy Hu Wei together with other diplomats from the mission also gifted stationary supplies and panda school bags to another 135 young students for their new semester.
