Colombo High Court Judge Manjula Thilakarathna yesterday postponed hearing the request to revoke bail granted to former Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne to 10 March.
The decision was made when Deputy Solicitor General Dileepa Peiris requested postponing the hearing due to his ill health.
Dr. Senaratne was arrested over his involvement in organising a controversial press conference prior to the Presidential Elections, where two individuals claimed that there were drivers of ‘white vans’, which are alleged to have been used for enforced disappearances in the past.
Dr. Senaratne was later granted bail issued with a travel ban.
