Curfew extended till Friday

The curfew in Colombo, Gampaha and Puttalam Districts and five districts in the Northern Province which will be lifted at 6 a.m. tomorrow will be reintroduced at 12 noon the same day and will continue until 6 a.m. on Friday (27 March).

The curfew in these districts will be reintroduced at 12 noon on Friday 27 March.

In the other districts, the curfew which was lifted at 6 a.m. this morning will be reintroduced at 2 p.m. and will be lifted at 6 a.m. on Thursday 26 March.

Transportation has been banned all over the island while taking foreign tourists from place to place too has been completely banned.

The transporting of rice and vegetables will be allowed. The Ministry of Agriculture and Trade will take the necessary measures in this regard.
