Customs nabs two Chinese nationals with Kothala Himbutu & seahorses

Sri Lanka Customs has arrested two Chinese nationals at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake for attempting to take containers made of Kothala Himbutu and dried seahorses.

The Customs officials have seized 265 dried sea horses and eight containers made of Kothala Himbutu worth Rs. 160,000, packed in their luggage.

The Chinese nationals were employed in the country and they were going back to China for a holiday. Deputy Customs Director Vipula Minuwangoda said the three Chinese were severely reprimanded and allowed to leave. (Colombopage)
