Dankotuwa Porcelain gets new Chairman, 5 Directors

Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC (DPL) has got a new Board of Directors including a Chairman after Ceyline Investments Ltd. acquired 68% controlling interest recently.

Non-Executive Director Ranil Pathirana has been appointed as the new Chairman of Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC. He replaces Y. Kanagasabai who resigned recently. R.T. Devasurendra and R.P. Peiris also resigned.

DPL also announced appointment of three new directors Nathasha Egodage, Lakshitha Rajendran, Dr. Hasuli Perera, Vardan Aslibekyan and Roshan Egodage

Nathasha Egodage presently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Ceymed Healthcare Services Ltd., Chief Purpose Officer of Ceyline Holdings Ltd., and Consultant Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT). She holds a B.A Physics and Economics from the New York University, USA, M. Sc Mathematical Modelling from the University College London, UK, M.Sc Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, USA.

Lakshitha Rajendran presently serves as Manager – Engineering, Sites Services and Sustainability of Ceylon Tobacco Company. She holds a Bachelor in Science, Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, USA and Master of Science, Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Birmingham City University, UK and Next Campus, Colombo.

Dr. Hasuli Perera presently serves as Head of Business School and Senior Lecturer of Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT), Sri Lanka. She holds a Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Honours) and a Doctorate in Philosophy from Monash University.

Vardan Aslibekyan has experience in Business Planning, Banking and Retail Banking in FinTech and Digital Payments Industry and presently serves as Director MegaPay Ltd. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management and Master’s degree in Management and Business Administration and Management from the Armenian State University of Economics.

Roshan Egodage has extensive experience in Engineering, Marketing, Finance and Management in the financial, manufacturing and Plantation sectors and presently serves as Director/Chief Executive Officer of Commercial Credit and Finance PLC. He is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK (FCMA), Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK (ACIM) and the Society for Chartered Management Accountants, UK (ASCMA) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Hons) from the University of Peradeniya, Master of Business Administration from the University of Colombo and Diploma in Management from the UK Institute of Management.

Ceylin Investments originally acquired 50% stake from Ambeon Holdings PLC which retained 21% stake. Post SEC Mandatory Offer, Ceylin acquired a further 18% bringing the total stake in DPL to 68.19%.

With the latest changes, the Board of Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC comprises Ranil Pathirana (Chairman), C.S. Karunasena, K.S. Narangoda, S.N. Egodage, L. Rajendran, L.H.K. Perera, V. Aslibekyan, and R.S. Egodage.
