Expressways generate over Rs. 70 m revenue during long-weekend

The Road Development Authority (RDA) yesterday said that the revenue generated from the expressway tolls during the long weekend exceeds Rs. 70 million. The RDA said a total of 256,225 vehicles had used the expressways within the 48-hour ending at Sunday midnight (16).

In general, the number of vehicles using the expressways is around 90,000 per day, while the total average income generated per day is nearly Rs. 25 million.
