Fatalities rise to 4,099 with 45 COVID-19 deaths

The Director General Health Services on Saturday confirmed 45 COVID-19 deaths, which raised the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 4,099.

Of the COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Saturday, 23 were male and 22 were female. Of the total COVID-19 fatalities, 2,381 fatalities are male and 1,718 fatalities are female.

According to the Department of Government Information, 37 persons over the age of 60, seven persons between ages 30 and 59, and one person below the age of 30 were among the deaths confirmed by the Health Services Director General. The Epidemiology Unit states that 75.14% of COVID-19 fatalities are above 60 years, 23.58% are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.28% are below 30 years.
