Five COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Health officials confirmed five COVID-19 fatalities on Tuesday, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 16,445.

Four COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Tuesday were over 60 years and one was between 30 and 59 years. Zero COVID-19 deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group on Tuesday.

The under-30 age group accounts for 1.31% of the total COVID-19 deaths. According to the Epidemiology Unit, 22.39% of the total COVID-19 deaths are between 30 and 59 years and 76.3% are from the over-60 age group.A total of 9,274 COVID-19 deaths confirmed to date are male and 7,171 COVID-19 deaths are female. Three COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Tuesday were male and two were female.
