Four COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Health officials confirmed four COVID-19 fatalities on Monday and the country’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 16,440.

Three COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Monday were over 60 years and one was between 30 and 59 years. Zero COVID-19 deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group on Tuesday.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.3% of the total COVID-19 deaths are from the over-60 age group, 22.39% are from the 30 to 59 age group, and 1.31% are from the under-30 age group.

Of the total COVID-19 deaths, 9,271 are male and 7,169 are female. Three COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Monday were male and one was female.
