Four COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Health officials confirmed four COVID-19 fatalities on Tuesday and the country’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 16,473.

All four COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Tuesday were from the over-60 age group. Zero COVID-19 deaths were confirmed from the under-30 and 30 to 59 age groups on Tuesday.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.27% of the total COVID-19 deaths are over 60 years, 22.41% are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.32% are below 30 years. The four COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Tuesday were male and a total of 9,294 COVID-19 deaths confirmed to date are male. The Epidemiology Unit states that 7,179 COVID-19 deaths confirmed to date are female.
