Global Sustainable Development Model Workshop and Award Ceremony held

A special workshop on Global Sustainable Development Model was successfully held at Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo 3 on 21 March. The workshop, which was the first of its kind to be held in Sri Lanka, was organised by SUNFO Global Federation. 

Selected youth leaders and social leaders in beauty culture, modelling and international volunteer service projects participated in the workshop. Beauty Queen of Singapore Faith Hung Lin Lin and Global Perspectives Institute USA Head Dr. Therese Mishler graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, respectively. Ambassador of Peace SUNFO Director General Dr. Deshapriya S. Wijetunge, Hebron Eco University Governor, renown educator Eng. Dr. Mohan Pathirana, Transcendent meditation educator Madusha Perera, and Centre for Leadership Performance Director Maharishi University of Management USA were also present as special guests. 

The focus of the workshop was Sustainable Development and Leadership. The topics covered in the workshop included: Universal leader with beauty and attraction, Lifestyle for an excellent global leader, Global leadership opportunities in sustainable development, Real leader through educational excellence, and Excellence through mind and brain development. 

The workshop was followed by an award ceremony. Sustainable Development Diplomacy Governor Ruwan De Silva and Millennium Development Ambassador Thilak De Silva graced the award ceremony as special guests as well. SDGYNSL National Advisory Coordinators Sewashuree Eranda Peris and Sewashuree Jeewaka Ediriweera Galappaththi facilitated the program.

The event concluded with the singing of songs related to the Sustainable Development Goals by singer Mario Ananda.
