“Our objective is to provide a livelihood-oriented degree to the educated youth in this country. Though this aim is difficult to achieve soon, we need to strive towards it,” said Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education Rauff Hakeem last week during the ceremony of his duty assumption.
“It was possible for us to regain our positions because we worked patiently and courageously during the recent political crisis. However, we must remember that these ministerial portfolios are not permanent. We will have to face a number of elections in the future. Our challenge is to call elections as motivation to take this country forwards instead of for personal political gains.
“My responsibility as Minister of Higher Education is immense. We will make our best effort to find solutions faced by undergraduates in this country. I wish to request our political authorities to take sections thinking about the future of this country,” Hakeem added.
