Health officials confirm one COVID-19 death

Health officials confirmed one COVID-19 death on Monday and a total of 16,503 COVID-19 deaths have been confirmed to date.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.29% of Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll is over 60 years, 22.4% is between 30 and 59 years and 1.31% is below 30 years. The COVID-19 death confirmed on Monday was from the 30 to 59 age group.

A total of 9,315 COVID-19 deaths confirmed to date are male and 7,188 deaths are female. Monday’s COVID-19 fatality was male.
