Health officials confirmed 21 COVID-19 fatalities

Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 15,441 with health officials confirming 21 COVID-19 fatalities on Sunday.

Fourteen COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Sunday were individuals over 60 years of age, five were between 30 and 59 years, and two were below 30 years. According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.21% of the total COVID-19 fatalities are over 60 years, 22.55% of the fatalities are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.24% of the fatalities are below 30 years.

Of the total COVID-19 deaths, 8,679 are male and 6,762 are female. Eleven COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Sunday were male and 10 were female.
