A delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) led by IMF Head of Operations for Sri Lanka Peter Breuer met with MPs and representatives of the leftist Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) led National People’s Power (NPP) party yesterday.
The meeting took place at the JVP head office in Pelawatte, Battaramulla.
The IMF delegation consisted of Breuer, the Resident Representative of the IMF Sarvath Jahan and IMF staffer Manavee Abeywickrama.
Participating on behalf of the NPP were Member of Parliament Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, former JVP MP Sunil Handunnetti, NPP Economic Council Member Prof. Anil Jayantha, Economic Analyst Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma and NPP National Executive Member Muditha Nanayakkara.
