Indian HC calls on Speaker

Indian High Commissioner Gopal Baglay paid a courtesy call on Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena in Parliament this week.

Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dasanayake was also present on the occasion.

The Indian High Commissioner commended the Government for being able to control the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation.

The Speaker extended his gratitude to the Government of India for its continued support to Sri Lanka and the cordial discussion between them focused on several matters of mutual interest.
