Indian Navy Chief in Colombo

Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva and Chief of Naval Staff of the Indian Navy Admiral Karambir Singh 

The Chief of Naval Staff of the Indian Navy Admiral Karambir Singh on a four-day visit to Sri Lanka paid a visit to the Naval Headquarters yesterday and met Commander of the SL Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva. 

A special guard of honour was accorded to him at NHQ premises in compliance with naval traditions. The Commanders held a cordial discussion at the Navy Commander’s office on matters of bilateral importance for both Navies. 

Admiral Karambir Singh is scheduled to attend as the Chief Guest of the passing out parade of midshipmen at the Naval and Maritime Academy, Trincomalee on 21 December. During his visit the Singh is expects to meet the President, Prime Minister, Secretary Defence, Chief of Defence Staff and the commanders of the Sri Lankan Armed Forces.
