Japan envoy calls on new President; pledges support

Japanese Ambassador Mizukoshi Hideaki yesterday paid a courtesy call on the newly elected President Anura Kumara Dissanayake shortly after the swearing-in ceremony at the Presidential Secretariat.

Ambassador Mizukoshi conveyed his heartfelt congratulations on the President’s victory in the election and on the people of Sri Lanka’s participation in the democratic process.
