Japan envoy calls on new President; pledges support

Japanese Ambassador Mizukoshi Hideaki yesterday paid a courtesy call on the newly elected President Anura Kumara Dissanayake shortly after the swearing-in ceremony at the Presidential Secretariat. 

Ambassador Mizukoshi conveyed his heartfelt congratulations on the President’s victory in the election and on the people of Sri Lanka’s participation in the democratic process. The Ambassador also expressed his readiness to support the President in his endeavour to rebuild the economy of Sri Lanka.
