Japanese ship ‘IKAZUCHI’ calls at Hambantota port

Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF) ship ‘IKAZUCHI (DD-107)’ had made a goodwill visit to Sri Lanka from 15 to 17 January 2019. She was on the way to Japan after the accomplishment of anti-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden. During their stay in Sri Lanka, the crew joined several programs including beach cleaning with Sri Lanka Navy. 

IKAZUCHI invited the students of Hambantota Primary School to tour the ship, where the children received gifts from the ship crew.
