Jordan’s King Abdullah condemns terror attacks in Sri Lanka

Jordan’s King Abdullah in a message to President Maithripala Sirisena has expressed his condemnation of the Easter Sunday terror attacks in Sri Lanka.

The statement is as follows:

“I was extremely shocked and saddened to learn of the barbaric terrorist attacks that targeted churches and hotels in Colombo and killed so many innocent worshippers and civilians on Easter Sunday. “On behalf of the people and Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, I would like to convey to Your Excellency, the Government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, its people, and to the bereaved families our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies.

“As we strongly condemn these vicious attacks, we reaffirm that we stand with Sri Lanka and all our friends and allies in the global fight against cowardly terrorism and extremism. We wish the injured a speedy recovery, and pray that God grant the bereaved families patience and fortitude.”
