Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera in discussion with Federation of Renewable Energy Developers
Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said the two newly appointed State Ministers were assigned separate duties with each institute to coordinate.
He made these remarks following a progress review meeting held with the institutions coming under the purview of the Power and Energy Ministry held on Friday.
Minister Wijesekera also said that they discussed the ongoing projects, energy policy, renewable energy and Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) restructuring plans.
On 8 September, President Ranil Wickremesinghe appointed Indika Anurudhdha and D. V. Chanaka as Power and Energy State Ministers.
Separately, the Minister announced that he met with the members of the Federation of Renewable Energy Developers on Saturday at the Ministry premises.
“Discussed the outstanding payments to the renewable suppliers, new feeding tariff, CEB restructuring plans, renewable energy projects, and rooftop solar projects,” he Tweeted.
