Ladies’ College, Colombo will host a useful virtual university exhibition today from 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. for the benefit of students, parents and teachers.
Participants can virtually meet with 25 foreign universities from USA, UK, Canada, India and The Emirates to gather information about higher studies, scholarship opportunities, application processes and relevant topics pertaining to university education.
A spokesperson said 24 workshops such as ‘How to effectively prepare to apply’, ‘Write a college essay’, ‘Navigate selective college admissions’ and ‘Write a letter of recommendation’ will be conducted in special workshop rooms.
Participants can liaise directly with university representatives through each university room. Students can download brochures, obtain application fee waivers and get one-on-one assistance on financial aid possibilities.
Six workshops for teachers will also be held during the exhibition.
Ladies’ College is inviting students, parents and teachers to register via https://vue.webifairs.com early so that they can watch the demo video and familiarise themselves on how to navigate the platform.
Students and parents are recommended to log in on separate devices so that relevant information can be gathered and workshops that interest each person can be attended.
