Lalkantha arrested for drunk driving

JVP Politburo Member K. D. Lalkantha has been taken into custody over a motor accident in Anuradhapura yesterday.

Police Media Spokespersons Office stated that the cab driven by JVP Politburo had collided head-on with a motorcycle near the Anuradhapura prison complex.

Initial investigations suggested that Lalkantha had been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
