Last of lecture series on The Bhagavad Gita by Sunandaji today

Today, 28 February is the last day of the five-daylecture serieson The Bhagavad Gita conducted by Sunandaji at the Buddhist Cultural Centre, Havelock Road – Thummulla junction, Colombo 5 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

Sunandaji is the daughter disciple of the internationally eminent philosopher, author and Vedanta scholar, Swami Parthasarathy who founded the Vedanta Academy in Malalvi, Pune, India in 1988.

The lecture series on The Baghavad Gita held annually in Colombo by Sundandaji under the auspices of Kanapathy Chetty Selvanathan Charitable Trust draws a diverse audience of those belonging to different cultures, beliefs and faiths as what is delivered is universal knowledge pertaining to the ancient wisdom of the Vedanta that could be appreciated by all. 

What is presented are the eternal principles of life and living which transcend race or religion and which focuses onprinciplesto equip oneself with a strong intellect to meet the challenges of the world and achieve success and peace in all aspects of one’s life – official, social and domestic. Above all it ushers one towards ultimate perfection, the goal of spiritual enlightenment which could be appreciated within one’s own cultural framework. 

Sunandaji has addressed prestigious corporate organisations and universities worldwide on the practical application of Vedanta in daily life and business.Her international audiences have included Young Presidents Organisation (YPO), Earnest and Young and Harvard and Oxford Universities. 

She is a senior trustee of the Vedanta Cultural Foundation, a charitable trust dedicated to the study, research and propagation of Vedanta. The Foundation has been accorded the coveted status of a Scientific Research Organisation by the Government of India. The Foundation runs the Vedanta Academy in India, an institution that serves as a world resource of Vedanta knowledge through its full-time residential courses.

The Bhagavad Gita is systematically taught at the Vedanta Academy, Pune, India. Youth from all over the world with diverse cultural backgrounds study at the Vedanta Academy and learn the technique of life and living. The alumnus of the Vedanta Academy conduct Vedanta study classes, workshops and organise public lectures in different parts of the world. The same three-year course is also available through E-learning. The next international residential short courses for youth at the Vedanta Academy, India are in May and December and adults in December. There are also series of lectures organised by the Vedanta Institute inSri Lanka in various cities in Colombo.
