Litro gas increases domestic gas prices

The price of domestic gas cylinders has been increased across the board from Sunday, Litro Gas Lanka Chairman Muditha Peiris announced. 

As per the new price revision, the price of a 12.5kg Litro gas cylinder has been increased by Rs. 80, while 5kg has been increased by Rs.30 and 2.3 kg canister has been increased by Rs. 15.

Accordingly, the 12.5 kg cylinder is now Rs. 4,360, while the 5 kg cylinder is Rs. 1,750 and the 2.3 kg cylinder is Rs. 810.

Previously, a 12.5 kg canister was sold at Rs. Rs. 4,280, whilst a 5 kg cylinder at Rs. 1,720 and 2.3 kg at Rs. 800.

The price hike came in after several months, based on the pricing formula introduced by the Government.
