MJP announces significant appointments ahead of General Election

• Appoints former Minister Roshan Ranasinghe as Chairman of MJP, former Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana as Deputy Chairman

The Mawbima Janatha Party (MJP) leader Dilith Jayaweera yesterday announced that the party made significant appointments yesterday. Taking to ‘X’ he noted that former Minister Roshan Ranasinghe was appointed as the Chairman of the party, while former Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana was appointed the Deputy Chairman.

In addition, former MP Milan Jayatilake was appointed as the Gampaha District Organiser, while former Western Provincial Council Member Rajitha Hapuarachchi was appointed Organiser of the Katana seat.

Jayaweera said the appointments were made as MJP prepares to contest the upcoming General Election on 14 November.

“I welcome them and look forward to working closely towards a Happy Nation,” he added.
