MOH to deploy mobile COVID vaccination points amidst fuel crisis

  • Number of children hospitalised due to dengue, COVID-19, viral fever risen sharply

The Ministry of Health has decided to deploy mobile vaccination points or vehicles to inoculate the fourth vaccine dose against COVID-19.

As per the Ministry, mobile vaccination vehicles will be deployed to specific areas based on requirements.

In addition, the Ministry said the fourth dose is available at Medical Offices of Health (MOH) and in main hospitals.

The Ministry of Health also stated the number of children hospitalised due to dengue, COVID-19, and viral fever has increased considerably. Health Services Deputy Director and Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children Director Dr. G. Wijesuriya said most children have been hospitalised for dengue. 

He also emphasised that the adults must also pay attention to the current highly infectious viral fever and adopt necessary hygiene practices.
