Mawbima Janatha Party appoints Dilum Amunugama as National Organiser

Mawbima Janatha Party (MJP) leader Dilith Jayaweera yesterday appointed former MP Dilum Amunugama as the National Organiser of the party.

“I warmly welcome former Minister and Parliamentarian Dilum Amunugama as the National Organiser of the Mawbima Janatha Party,” he noted via a post on ‘X’.

Jayaweera also said that the party is preparing for its next battle at the General Election. 

Jayaweera stated, “In the general election, we are asking for votes in all districts. This time, we are creating the most influential political alliance in Sri Lanka. We have invited politicians, whom we believe will be accepted by the people, to engage in discussions with us.” 

“We are contesting the election under the ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ alliance and hope to secure a new symbol for it,” he added.
