More days to submit Indian visa applications

The Indian High Commission said yesterday that more days have been allocated to accept visa applications for the convenience of travellers. 

The outsourced visa application centre IVS will receive visa applications from applicants on three days every week viz. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with effect from 4 July.  The High Commission said the move was in view of the current situation and in consideration to offer convenience to Sri Lankan and other nationals who avail visa services and also mindful of the aspects related to the travel of the relevant employees.

With the new arrangement, appointment will not be available on Monday. The services will also be unavailable on these days (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) if it is a closed holiday, notified by the High Commission.

Prospective visa applicants are requested to take prior appointment and submit visa applications with IVS Centre on these days only until further notice.
