‘Naduvathu Nalam’ book launch

Former Minister Imtiaz Barkeer Markar writer of columns in the Tamil weekly newspaper – Meelparvai has compiled a collection of these columns and published a book called – ‘Naduvathu Nalam’. 

The book launching ceremony was held on 22 December at the Colombo Library Documentary Board under the patronage of Jamiya Naleemiya Director Dr. M.A.M. Shukry, former Member of Parliament and President Counsel M.M. Zuhair and Navamani Chief Editor N.M. Ameen. Vidiweli Newspaper Chief Editor Mohamed Fairoz also spoke at the function.

Imtiaz Barkeer Markar presented this book in memory of the following late leaders: Late Minister A.C.S. Hameed, A.H.M. Azwar, Ashike Alavi Moulana, Colombo Zahira Principal Late Shafi Marikkar, and Zahira former teacher Late A.C. Badurudeen. Special copies were presented to their family members. Palestine and Turkey Ambassadors in Sri Lanka also participated.
