Nagamuwa summoned by courts 

Front Line Socialist Party (FLSP) Propaganda Secretary Duminda Nagamuwa was issued summons by Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage yesterday. 

The summons were issued over allegations that Nagamuwa had made defamatory comments against Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles on social media platforms including Facebook and YouTube recently. 

Accordingly, Nagamuwa has been ordered to appear before the court on 6 September. On 15 August, Alles lodged a complaint with the CID against Nagamuwa over the comments made by the leftist politician. 

Nagamuwa at a media briefing on 12 August accused Alles and the rival Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) of in collaboration maintaining an offshore investment account in Malta.
