New Acting DG for Govt. Information Department 

The Cabinet of Ministers on Monday approved appointing H.S.K.J. Bandara as the new Director General of the Government Information Department with immediate effect on a full-time acting basis.

The announcement was made by Cabinet Spokesman and Minister Vijitha Herath yesterday at the post-Cabinet meeting media briefing.

The appointment was made after former Director General Dinith Chinthaka Karunarathne resigned from the post. Bandara is a Grade I officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service who serves as Director (Admin) of the Department of Government Information at present.
