New Zealand envoy meets MP Marikkar

 New Zealand High Commissioner Michael Appleton last week met with Member of Parliament S.M. Marikkar. 

They discussed economic, social and health issues facing Sri lanka as well as cooperation between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, the High Commission said. 

Given Marikkar's former involvement in the media, they also discussed the role of news media in national life, it added.
