New appointments at Mahaweli Authority

A ceremony was held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena to hand over appointment letters to 147 newly appointed officers of Mahaweli Authority, at Presidential Secretariat, Wednesday (4).

President Sirisena symbolically handed over a few letters of appointments.

Addressing the newly appointed officers, President Sirisena said everyone should be committed to fulfil their responsibilities as newly appointed officers under Mahaweli Authority as they are expected to fulfil their responsibilities towards the citizens and the development of the country.

Anura Dissanayake, Secretary to the Mahaweli Development and Environment, Sarath Chandrasiri Vithana, Director General of Mahaweli Authority and Additional Secretary to the President, Board of Directors and other officers participated in the event.
