New member appointed to ECSL

The Election Commission of Sri Lanka (ECSL) yesterday announced that a new member has been appointed to the Commission. 

The announcement was made by Commissioner General of Elections Saman Sri Ratnayake. Accordingly he said Professor D.M.S. Lakshman Dissanayake has been appointed in accordance with Article 41 A and Article 103 (01) of the Constitution on the recommendations of the Constitutional Council.

The ECSL also confirmed that Dissanayake assumed duties at the Commission yesterday. The ECSL membership now comprises Chairman R.M.A.L. Ratnayake and members M.A.P.C. Perera, Amir Mohammad Faiz, Anusuya Shanmuganathan and D.M.S. Lakshman Dissanayake.
