One COVID-19 death confirmed

Daily COVID-19 fatalities dropped to one on Thursday with health officials confirming the death of a female individual over the age of 60.

No other COVID-19 deaths were confirmed that day.

Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll is 16,489. Of this, 9,304 are male and 7,185 are female.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.27% of the total COVID-19 deaths confirmed to date are over 60 years, while 22.41% are between 30 and 59 years and 1.32% are below 30 years.
