Health officials confirmed one COVID-19 death on Monday and the country’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 16,506.

A total of 9,317 COVID-19 deaths confirmed to date are male and 7,188 deaths are female. The COVID-19 death confirmed on Monday was female.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.29% of the total COVID-19 deaths are over 60 years, 22.4% are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.31% are below 30 years. The COVID-19 death confirmed on Monday was from the over-60 age group.
