One COVID-19 fatality confirmed

Health officials confirmed one COVID-19 fatality on Saturday, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 16,496.

The COVID-19 death confirmed on Saturday was an individual between ages 30 to 59. Of the total COVID-19 deaths, 22.4% are from this age group.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.28% of the total COVID-19 deaths are over 60 years and 1.32% are below 30 years.

A total of 9,309 COVID-19 deaths confirmed to date are male and 7,187 COVID-19 deaths are female. The COVID-19 fatality confirmed on Saturday was male.
