Over 150 election-related complaints since nomination day

The Election Commission has received 156 complaints since nomination day on Monday, with the majority of complaints related to the violation of election laws.

The complaints have been received by the Election Commission as well as its district offices, the EC said yesterday.

One hundred and fifty-three of the complaints relate to election law violations while three concern election violence.

The Commission said it would inquire into the complaints and direct police to take action.
