Despite the heavy rainfalls reported from countrywide, the scheduled power cuts are to continue today as well.
Electricity regulator Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) said approval was given following the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) request to enforce the approved three-hour and 20-minute power cuts for today.
As per the PUCSL, areas A to L and P to W will have a two-hour power cuts will be enforced between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., whilst one hour and 20 minutes power outage will be imposed between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.
The areas M, N, O, X, Y and Z will experience only three-hour power cut between 5 a.m. to 8 a.m.
Area CC will experience a straight three-hour power disruption from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
