PUCSL approves 6.5-hour power cut till Friday

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has approved the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) request for power cuts of six hours and 30 minutes till 8 April.

The CEB had requested for power cuts for four dates due to limited supply of fuel for thermal power plants, the PUCSL said yesterday. For areas ABCDEFGHIJKL - four hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 2 hours and 30 minutes from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. For areas PQRSTUVW - four hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 2 hours and 30 minutes from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

For area CC1 - 3 hours and 30 minutes from 6 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.
