PUCSL approves near four-hour power cuts for today

Electricity regulator Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) yesterday announced that approval was given following the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) request to enforce the approved three hours and 40-minute power cuts for today.

As per the PUCSL, two-hour power cuts will be imposed between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and one hour and 40-minute power cuts between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. to areas A to L and P to W.

The areas designated as M,N,O,X,Y and Z will experience three-hour power cuts between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m.

Designated area CC will experience a straight three-hour power disruption from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
