Pakistan’s Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Chairman in town

Pakistan’s Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Chairman General Zubair Mahmood Hayat is visiting Sri Lanka on the invitation of Sri Lankan Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral R.C. Wijegunaratne, from today until 30 June.  

During his four-day visit, General Zubair will pay a courtesy call on Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena, the Chief of Defence Staff, Defence Secretary and the commanders of the Sri Lanka Army, Navy and Air Force. During these meetings with the Sri Lankan political and military hierarchy, he will discuss matters of mutual understanding and cooperation.
