Pathfinder Foundation makes presentations in Zigong at cooperation forum

The Center for China-Pakistan-India Studies of the Sichuan University of Science and Engineering organised a forum in Zigong on cooperation among China, India and Pakistan. Scholars and subject matter experts from Afghanistan, China, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka participated in the one-day event.

Representing the Pathfinder Foundation, Luxman Siriwardena, Executive Director and Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage, Director of ‘Centre for Indo-Lanka initiatives’ and ‘Law of the Sea’ delivered speeches titled ‘Should the Conflict Among Three Biggies be the Constraint to Development of the Entire Region?” and ‘Indian Ocean Maritime Security and Trade Dynamics: From Competition to Collaboration’ respectively. The primary objective of this forum was to discuss possibilities for cooperation among China and South Asian countries for the purpose of advancing 21st Century Maritime Silk Route and focused on three main areas, viz. Cooperation in Economy and Trade, Talent Exchange and Educational Development.

Zigong City is located in the southern part of Sichuan Province in China neighbouring Leshan city. It has one of the three biggest dinosaur museums in the world built on the site of a group of dinosaur fossils. The museum stores fossils of nearly all species of dinosaurs who lived in the Jurassic period.
