Pathfinder to hold seminar on evaluating Millennium Challenge Corporation – Sri Lanka Compact

Taking into consideration the current debate in Sri Lanka and the publicity that the Compact with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) has received in the media, the Pathfinder Foundation (PF) believes a public discussion would shed light to the issues concerned.

The objective of this panel discussion, ‘Separating the Baby from the Bathwater – Evaluating the Millennium Challenge Corporation – Sri Lanka Compact’ which is scheduled to be held on Friday 9 August at 3 p.m. at the BMICH, is to provide the public at large an opportunity to better understand the Compact and its impact on Sri Lanka.

The panelists will include: Dr. Palitha Kohona – former Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the UN and Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Nishan de Mel – Executive Director, Verité Research; Dr. Ganeshan Wignaraja – Executive Director, Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute; and Neville Ladduwahetti – Independent Analyst and Author. The Panel Discussion will be moderated by Bernard Goonetilleke – Chairman, Pathfinder Foundation.
