Police arrest three with 159 kilograms of Kerala cannabis

The Police acting on information received had arrested three suspects transporting 159kg of Kerala ganja (Kerala cannabis) in Mannar.

Mannar division Police Narcotic Bureau officers during a raid conducted on a tip-off arrested the three suspects Thursday afternoon in the Savariyapuram area with 159kg and 393 grams of cannabis in six gunny bags.

The three suspects aged 38, 28, 29 are residents of the Silawathurai area. They were produced before the Mannar Magistrate Court.

The Police Narcotic Bureau unit of Mannar is conducting further investigations.
