Police have announced that all demonstrations, including vehicle and pedestrian rallies, will be prohibited for one week following the announcement of the Parliamentary Election results.
Police Spokesperson DIG Nihal Talduwa made the statement, stressing that no public gatherings or displays of digital screens to watch the results will be allowed.
DIG Talduwa urged the public to refrain from organising or participating in such activities, warning that authorities will take action to disperse any gatherings.
The police emphasised that the decision was made to maintain public order and ensure safety during this period.
