Power and Energy Minister meets visiting US Treasury official 

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera yesterday met with the visiting US Treasury Deputy Assistant Secretary Robert Kaproth. 

The Minister discussed on matters pertaining to the power and energy industry in Sri Lanka. 

“The talks focussed on reforms in Sri Lanka’s power and energy sector, policies, debt restructuring, fuel management system, and petroleum products procurement,” Minister Wijesekera added. 

US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung, and officials of the US Treasury and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) also participated in the discussion.
