Prasanna Perera appointed Director General of PMD

Marking a new chapter in the Government’s communication strategy, Prasanna Perera has been appointed the Director General of the President’s Media Division (PMD).

The official letter of appointment was handed over to Perera yesterday (24) by Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake at the Presidential Secretariat.

Bringing a wealth of academic expertise to the role, Perera holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Peradeniya, along with Postgraduate Diplomas in Communication from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and Mass Communication from the University of Kelaniya.
