President Ranil Wickremesinghe signs nomination papers

President Ranil Wickremesinghe officially signed his nomination paper yesterday for the upcoming Presidential election.

The event took place at his political office on Flower Road, Colombo. The Maha Sangha chanted Seth Pirith and offered blessings, while priests from other religions also performed rituals and gave their blessings. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, many ministers, and a large gathering of supporters, including representatives from political parties and organisations backing President Wickremesinghe in the election.
